I’ve got a deeper dive into one of the drawing that was posted on Tuesday - this urban sketch isn’t a project to DO, but hopefully shows you that being perfect on your perspective isn’t necessary. It’s more about avoiding the errors that make your drawing feel like a funhouse.
When learning, a lot of people either want “rules” to follow to sketch their house or street. Where do the lines go, what angles do I use. Because rules seem like they’d be easier to grasp than my answer: what do you SEE?
I’ll show you an easier example below that you can try with a tissue box. And at the end we’ll look at the nutty perspective in the Bologna drawing in the video to see where those lines are wonky.
